The Marriners are set to head down on the farm, and brew some beer.

Randy and Mary Marriner, who own Victoria Gastro Pub in Columbia, received funding that will allow them to open Manor Hill Brewing, an on-farm microbrewery on their property in Ellicott City. At the site, the couple will operate the microbrewery out of a 7,200 sq. ft. barn, and grow some of their own hops.

Manor Hill Brewing is scheduled to open in March, and is aiming to brew 3,000 barrels a year. The beer produced there will only be sold at Victoria Gastro Pub. Last week, Howard County’s economic development department provided a $200,000 loan that will help get the operation off the ground.
