Theatergoers, don’t throw away your shot at winning tickets to see the Broadway musical “Hamilton” in Baltimore.

Starting Friday, the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center will open a digital lottery for $10 tickets to watch “Hamilton” performances Oct. 11-30.

The popular musical combines hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway music to tell the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton.

Beginning this week, lotteries will open every Friday at 10 a.m. and will close at noon the next Thursday, for tickets to the following week’s performances. The lottery will offer 40 tickets for each performance.

All individuals who enter the lottery will be notified that Thursday between 1 to 4 p.m. whether they won tickets for the upcoming week’s performances. Winners will have two hours to claim and pay for up to two tickets. 

Winners will be able to pick up their tickets at will-call two hours prior to the performance, and they must present valid identification that matches the name of the person who entered the lottery.

Tickets cannot be resold or transferred, and there is only one entry per person allowed.

Audience members can also purchase regularly priced tickets at Ticketmaster.com.
